The combination of the brushless maxon DC motors (60 W) with the digital MR encoder and the EPOS digital positioning controller results in a highly dynamic position controller. The programmable version, MCD EPOS P, comes with a processor and memory, allowing standalone operation.
The controller-motor combination of the compact drive is already ideally configured and immediately ready to operate. The direct connection to the CANopen bus or a PLC reduces the wiring work to a minimum. Drive control, parameterization and diagnostics are conducted via CAN bus or the serial interface (RS232).
